Supporting Amica
Amica is a registered Scottish charity. We are extremely grateful for the donations given to us by individuals, schools, trust funds, companies, churches and fundraising groups to support the costs of running the centre and its services.
We do not charge for any of our services, though we appreciate donations given by many of the schools and organisations that have benefited from training or presentations given by our centre.

10 Munros in 10 days
Nic Middlemiss has completed his 10 Munros in 10 days challenge for Amica's 10th anniversary this year. He actually managed to complete eleven Munros in only nine days which is a great achievement! He has raised over £1,600 for Amica.
Swishing Party - Friday 3 September 2010
The swishing party at the Dalriada Bar was a fun evening and a great success. We want to thank everyone who came along/helped at the evening - £670 was raised!
Edinburgh to North Berwick Cycle - Saturday 21st August 2010
The sponsored cycle on Saturday went brilliantly! There were 14 team members who cycled from Portobello to North Berwick and 13 managed it back. Thankfully it was dry all day, but we all struggled against the wind on the return journey. It was a huge achievement for everyone, especially those who had never cycled such a distance, including our youngest team member, Nathan (12), and others such as Sheila who was suffering from a sore back.
Fundraising is going really well - we've raised £2,100 so far plus gift aid. Our Justgiving page will remain open for another couple of months, so if you would like to donate to our effort and support Amica, please go to the Amica Sponsored Cycle JustGiving page at www.justgiving.com/AmicaSponsoredCycle.
Other recent fundraising events have included a book evening which raised over £600 for Amica and a Curry & Swishing Night organised by Shamin Joshi and Joy Moore raised £700.
10th Anniversary Fundraising Appeal
2010 was our centre's 10th anniversary. Our general appeal raised £1288. Thank you to all of you who gave to our appeal and who participated in numerous fundraisers held throughout the year. Although our 10th anniversary appeal page is now closed, you can still give a one-off donation online through JustGiving justgiving or Virgin Money Giving

Give by Standing Order/Gift Aid
Can you be 1 in 200? If 200 people gave just £10 a month to Amica, it would cover a great deal of our monthly running costs.
There are many individuals who already support Amica financially through regular standing orders. These people are invaluable to Amica because their money is committed to us regularly which in turn means it is easier to plan ahead. You can give anything from £2 to £100 (or more) monthly or quarterly, and if a gift aid declaration is signed it allows us to claim tax back on the donation from the Inland Revenue. Every £1 makes a difference!
If you want to give regularly to Amica then please print out the Standing Order / Gift Aid form below, complete your details and return to Amica at the address on the contact page.
If you are a tax payer you can complete the Gift Aid declaration on the form below, sign and return it to us so that we can claim the tax back.
The form is in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format and requires Adobe Reader to view it. The free Adobe Reader® software can be downloaded from the Adobe® website by selecting on the Get Adobe Reader button.
Alternatively if you want to send a cheque to Amica it should be made out to Amica Pregnancy Crisis Centre and sent to the address on our contact page.
